What is Managed Markets?
Managing international sales within Shopify? Managed Markets is an end-to-end turnkey solution that allows you to easily sell cross-border by handling the complexities of global expansion. It handles international regulations, taxes, duties, shipping and more while localizing it for you for each country to which you sell. Managed Markets one of the preferred partners for fulfilling Delivered Duty Paid (DDP) orders with Flexport
To fulfill orders using Managed Markets, you will first need to apply for this service in Shopify. You can learn more about Managed Markets here.
How do I ensure my Managed Markets orders are processed successfully?
First, you must have a Shopify channel set up in your Flexport Portal account. Then, you can navigate to Settings > International Shipping. You will see the option to select Managed Markets as your integration provider and enable international shipping.

Flexport supports all Managed Markets carriers: DHL Express, and DHL eCommerce, and UPS. One product gap is that we do not yet accept orders for UPS non-PaperlessTrade countries (where the commercial invoice needs to be printed instead of electronically sent to carriers), but those countries have the least volume.
Please note orders to unsupported countries will be cancelled in Flexport.
What can you do now to avoid having such stuck/cancelled orders?
After you enable Managed Markets, you will need to navigate to the Shopify Admin → Shipping and Delivery → General (Shipping Zones) and ensure that UPS is removed from your supported carrier calculated rates for these unsupported countries under Managed Markets.
You would also need to ensure that "Standard International" are removed from the flat rates used for shipping zones including UPS non-PLT (unsupported) countries.
