Carrier mapping ensures that your shipping carriers in Shopify align with those recognized by TikTok Shop. Accurate mapping enables TikTok to display the correct delivery updates to your customers and ensures order syncing functions properly.
If you are fulfilling TikTok Shop orders using Shopify directly or via an ERP integration with the Flexport API, correct carrier mapping is critical to avoid tracking delays and shipment errors.
Before You Begin
Make sure you have:
Admin access to both Shopify and TikTok Shop Seller Center (U.S.)
The TikTok Shop for Shopify app installed and connected

Step 1: Access TikTok Shop in Shopify
From your Shopify Admin, go to Sales Channels → TikTok Shop.
Go to Shop Management → Shop Settings.
Select Carrier Mapping to view the current mapping list.
Step 2: Review Current Carrier Mapping
Ensure that each Shopify carrier name matches a supported TikTok Shop carrier.
Note: If you see "Unmapped" or "Unknown Carrier," tracking updates may not sync correctly until a mapping is added.

Step 3: Edit or Add Carrier Mappings
In the TikTok Shop app, click Add Mapping.
Choose your Shopify Carrier from the dropdown list.
Select the corresponding TikTok Carrier from TikTok's supported carriers.
Click Save to apply changes.
Tip: Some carrier names differ slightly between systems. Match them as closely as possible to ensure tracking data syncs correctly.
Note: Once the mapping is saved, affected orders will automatically re-sync with the new carrier mapping.

Step 5: For Merchants Using Flexport API or ERP Integrations
If your TikTok Shop orders flow into Shopify through an ERP system (via the Flexport API or another integration), the carrier name information typically syncs with Shopify from your ERP. TikTok pulls tracking and carrier data from Shopify — not directly from your ERP — so you must ensure the names are correctly synced.
Requirements for ERP-Based Integrations
In your ERP, define a master list of shipping carriers using recognized carrier names.
Verify that your ERP → Shopify connection passes both the
carrier_nameand tracking number fields accurately.Confirm that the carrier name appearing in Shopify matches TikTok's supported carrier list.

UPS_GND,FDX_EXP), create a lookup table to translate them into full carrier names before sending to Shopify. This ensures TikTok can recognize the data accurately.
Step 7: Verify and Test Sync
After adjusting your mappings:
Fulfill an order in your ERP or Shopify.
Confirm that the carrier name and tracking number appear correctly in Shopify.
Check in TikTok Shop Seller Center that the order status updates to "Shipped" and displays the correct tracking information.
If tracking doesn't update:
Reconfirm your ERP is syncing carrier names that match TikTok's supported list.
Review your TikTok Carrier Mapping settings inside the TikTok Shop app in Shopify.
Step 8: Maintain and Regularly Update Mappings
Revisit carrier mappings whenever you add new services or carriers in Shopify or your ERP.
After TikTok announces new supported carriers, update your mapping list accordingly.
Ensure all teams using your ERP follow consistent carrier naming conventions to prevent mapping errors.
Troubleshooting
