Note: The rules listed below may need to be applied if you have Shipstation plugged into a Sales Channel that is also connected directly. Most commonly, this will apply to sellers utilizing an eBay Direct integration, Wish Direct, or a standard Shopify Direct integration (Multilocation is not enabled).
Why do I need to exclude SKUs for fulfillment in ShipStation?
ShipStation is programmed to import all orders, even those already assigned. When both are connected to a sales channel, this can lead to double shipping the same order.
ShipStation needs to be properly set up to filter out other orders.
How do I add a "SKU exclusion" rule to ShipStation?
Step 1: In ShipStation, go to Settings (the wrench icon) at the upper right of the ShipStation screen.
Step 2: Create a rule.
Go to Automation Rules under Order Imports at the upper left.
Go to Create a Rule, and edit the rule in the popup as is filled out below:
Step 3: Save this rule so that it is Active, and ShipStation will not import any order from the Marketplace chosen with the given Item SKU value.
Important note: You will need to create a new rule like this for every marketplace-SKU combination that you want to exclude from shipping through ShipStation.
