Let’s go through some examples of how to connect your marketplace accounts successfully, whether you have multiple accounts with the same marketplace, are using a listing tool, or both.
Connecting the same marketplace twice to one account
Suppose you have an eBay account with username merchant@business1.com, and you connect eBay to Flexport via a direct connection to import orders.
If you connect another integration, such as a listing tool (ChannelAdvisor, Sellbrite, etc.) that is also connected to merchant@business1.com, then it’s possible that orders import twice—from both the direct connection and the listing tool.
The solution is to disconnect one of the integrations—either the direct eBay integration or the listing tool —so orders import once.
Connecting two different accounts on the same marketplace to one account
Note: The following information applies to all integrations except Shopify. To connect multiple Shopify stores to your account, please see How Do I Connect Multiple Shopify Stores to My Account?
Suppose you own multiple businesses or brands, and you want the orders for all of your businesses fulfilled through the same account. For example, you have two accounts on eBay, merchant@business1.com and merchant@business2.com.
Technically, you can connect both to one account (one through a direct integration, and another indirectly through a listing tool). Or you can connect both through your listing tool (please reach out to your listing tool’s Support team to confirm).
Another solution is to create two separate accounts for james@beachsidehats.com and james@mountainshoes.com. When necessary, simply log out of one account and log back into the other account.
