Setting up your shipping option mapping allows the correct service level to be selected for your order. Not setting these up properly can result in an order shipping at the wrong shipping speed. For example, a buyer may select 2-day delivery but the order ships at a standard service level (5-7 business days).
Step 1: Add a new shipping method
Log in to your Flexport Portal account and click ‘Settings’ in the left sidebar menu. Then, select the Shipping Option Mapping tab.
Click‘+ Add a Shipping Option.’
First, enter the “Shipping Option Name.” This should appear exactly the same as the shipping options available to your customers at checkout. Next, select from the drop-down menu the matching service level.
For example, if you use the phrase “Expedited” on your Marketplace to refer to 2-day orders, you’ll want to input the Shipping Option Name as “Expedited” and select “2 Day” from the Service Level dropdown menu.
Add shipping options for each type of service level you provide to your customers, then click ‘Save Changes.’ Your service levels (outside of your Walmart and Amazon orders) are now mapped and orders will route according to what is detailed on this page.
