Flexport’s Insight Builder gives Fulfillment customers instant visibility into their inventory, shipments, orders, and transportation activity — all within the Flexport Client App.
Instead of pulling static reports, you can ask questions in plain English (like “Which SKUs are low in stock?”), and Insight Builder creates the answers for you in tables or charts. This helps you quickly spot stockouts, track shipments, and manage fulfillment operations in one place.
Domains You Can Explore
Insight Builder organizes your data into domains. Domains are categories of fulfillment activity you can query and explore.
- Inbounds – Track shipments arriving into fulfillment centers, inbound status, and receiving progress.
- D2C Outbounds – Analyze direct-to-consumer order fulfillment, delays, or carrier performance.
- B2B Outbounds – Monitor wholesale and bulk shipments handled through fulfillment.
- Inventory – See on-hand stock, stockouts, and trends across SKUs.
- Transportation – Understand domestic and network-wide transportation activity (inbound, outbound, transfer).
- Products – View insights by SKU or product grouping across your business.
How to Use Insight Builder
- Access Insight Builder
- Log into the Flexport Client App
- Go to Reports → Insight Builder.
- Select Fulfillment from the Domain dropdown.
- If you only use Fulfillment, this domain will load automatically.
- Ask Questions
- Choose from suggested starter questions designed for Fulfillment customers (or type your own question in plain English). Examples include:
- “Show my inbound shipments by status this week.”
- “Which SKUs are running low on inventory?”
- “Outbound shipments delayed in the last 7 days.

- View and Refine Results
- Insight Builder will generate results as tables or visualizations.

- Included for all Fulfillment customers in the Flexport Client App.

- Most insights are generated in near real-time.

- Exports: Results can be downloaded for use in your own reporting tools.
Limitations
- Insight Builder is only available in the Flexport Client App, not the Seller Portal.
- Freight and Fulfillment data cannot be combined in the same query. Each is analyzed separately.
- If you only use Fulfillment, you’ll only see the Fulfillment domain.

Who can use Insight Builder?
All Fulfillment (Omni) customers with access to the Flexport Client App can use it.
Do I need the Seller Portal to use Insight Builder?
No. Insight Builder is only in the Client App. The Seller Portal will continue to provide operational tools and static reports as usual.
What kind of questions can I ask?
You can analyze inbound shipments, on-hand inventory, outbound orders, or SKU-level product performance. Suggested starter questions are available in-app.
Can I combine Freight and Fulfillment data in one query?
Not at this time. Freight and Fulfillment domains are available separately.
How up-to-date is the data?
Most Fulfillment data updates in near real time. Inventory data is refreshed hourly.
What if I don’t see Fulfillment in the Domain dropdown?
If Fulfillment doesn’t appear in your Insight Builder, reach out to your Flexport account manager or [Flexport Support].
