Rate tables contain the information concerning which regions can expect a given guaranteed delivery date as well as specific shipping costs. They provide the delivery speeds you offer your customer at checkout and the associated shipping cost, which depends on the weight or dimensions of an item. eBay allows you to set a surcharge fee so that your customer can cover this cost.
Rate tables are required as part of setting up eBay Fast Tag. However, you do not need to create rate tables from scratch. Flexport provides you with a Chrome browser extension that automatically configures these rates for you.

FAQs
Why does the Flexport Chrome browser extension create multiple rate tables in eBay?
When you download the Chrome browser extension, you’ll notice that Flexport will create 15 rate tables in your eBay seller account. This is because coverage may change as your items stock out of certain warehouses, so rates need to be set per region. The 15 rate tables represent each region, and each region represents a collection of warehouses in a specified area.
NOTE: eBay limits the total number of rate tables to 40 per account and does not allow you to delete existing rate tables. If you currently have over 24 rate tables in your account, we cannot support Fast Tags on your listings.
Do I need to be opted in to business policies?
Yes. For Flexport SKUs, your rate tables must be attached to business policies so that your rate tables are properly applied. These can be created for each SKU in your eBay account.
For example, if you associate a free expedited shipping policy to your listing, and download our rate tables, the listing should be 2-day guaranteed.
Does it matter which rate table I select in my business policies?
No. Flexport will automatically select the rate table based on the closest warehouse that is able to fulfill the order.
Will Flexport’s rate tables affect my surcharge rate?
No. Flexport will set the surcharge rates to $0 so they will not affect the pricing you’d like to charge customers for each delivery option. Surcharges are fees you set in addition to shipping fees. Flexport will not charge your customers anything in addition to what the normal shipping cost you have set. The Flexport rate tables only serve as a means of updating delivery availability on your listings as warehouse inventory levels change.
NOTE: If you’d like to change the shipping charge for your customers, please do so on the listing itself. Do not edit the rate tables Flexport creates. You can identity Flexport rate tables by their titles, as they begin with the word, “Flexport .”
How should my SKUs be mapped?
The SKUs that correspond with your listings must be properly mapped to the items that you have in Flexport. You can connect SKUs to eBay through the eBay channel alias in your Seller Portal account. Double-check that the SKU custom labels on your listings match with their corresponding SKU IDs in Flexport . If you are unsure if this pertains to you, please contact Support and file a ticket.
