This guide provides troubleshooting steps for the following issues:
There is no fast tag on my eBay listing
I was charged the "2 Day (Non Fast Tag)" fee
My listing shows "Free 4 day shipping" instead of "Free 3 day shipping"
There is no fast tag on my eBay listing
Reason 1: The listing is not mapped to your SKU in Flexport
Go to the inventory page, find your SKU, and click into the Inventory Detail page. If you see this message at the top of the Inventory Detail page it means that your SKU is not mapped to an eBay listing. Click "Fix eBay Fast Tags" to supply a link for the listing.
Reason 2: The listing doesn't have fast tag coverage in your location
Scroll to the bottom of the Inventory Detail page for your SKU where you'll find the Fast Tag map, which shows which states have fast tag coverage. Verify that you have fast tag coverage in your state. You can test other locations by changing the zip code under the "Shipping and Payments" tab on your eBay listing.
Reason 3: The listing does not have a free standard shipping service
Go to the Manage your business policies page in eBay, and select the shipping policy that is assigned to your listing. Verify the following (and update if necessary) settings under "U.S. shipping":
- "Flat: same cost to all buyers" is selected
- "Standard Shipping" is selected in the "Services" dropdown
- "Free Shipping" is checked
Reason 4: No Flexport Rate Tables in your eBay account
Go to the Shipping rate tables page in eBay. The "Rate Table" dropdown should include 15 rate tables with names like "Deliverr_RT_xOj5u6M". If any are missing, please download and run the Flexport browser extension (Chrome browsers only) so it can automatically create your rate tables.
NOTE: The "Apply domestic rate tables" box will uncheck itself when there is no fast tag coverage. This is known behavior and you do not need to be proactively checking the box if you see it unchecked as long as you checked the box during the initial fast tag setup flow
Reason 5: eBay doesn't support fast tags on variant listings
If the listing is a variant listing then Flexport will not be able to turn on fast tags.
Reason 6: Missing working days
Go to https://www.ebay.com/ship/cutoff and verify that all weekdays (and NO weekends) are selected. Also verify that the Time zone is "Eastern Time" and all cut off times are 14:00.
If none of these steps resolved or explained the issue, please contact Flexport support.
I was charged the "2 Day (Non Fast Tag)" fee
Reason 1: The listing does has an expedited shipping service
Go to the Manage your business policies page in eBay, and select the shipping policy that is assigned to your listing. Verify that "Standard Shipping" is selected in the "Services" dropdown for "U.S. shipping".
Reason 2: Late (after 2PM ET) or weekend cut off times
Go to https://www.ebay.com/ship/cutoff and verify that all weekdays (and NO weekends) are selected. Also verify that the Time zone is "Eastern Time" and all cut off times are 14:00.
My listing shows "Free 4 day shipping" instead of "Free 3 day shipping"
eBay determines the fast tag message based on calendar days, so after cutoff (2PM ET), eBay will switch to "Free 4 day shipping"
