Importing a Catalog After Connecting a New Integration
When you connect a new integration to Flexport, we automatically import your product catalog from there into Flexport. For every product (SKU) that we see:
- If a DSKU (Flexport SKU) already exists with that same SKU value, then we create an alias from that DSKU to that integration's product ID.
- If a DSKU does not exist with that same SKU value, then we create a new DSKU and then create an alias for that DSKU-productID combination.

Add New SKUs to your Flexport Catalog
To create a new SKU in your Flexport catalog, first create it in your marketplace or listing tool account, and then import it into Flexport.
If a SKU is not importing into Flexport, simply wait (sometimes catalog import can take a while) or read our help article to see some common root causes and how to fix them.

Manually Create a Product in Flexport
When to Create
If the 'Sync Catalog' button doesn't work, or you cannot find a root cause why SKUs aren't importing to Flexport, then you can manually create a DSKU within Flexport. This can unblock you from creating an inbound to send inventory into the network.
How to Create
Go to sellerportal.flexport.com/inventory/new. Input the SKU value and the name of the product, and then click Create Product. Do not input special characters into your SKU values.
Manually Created DSKUs Don't Have Aliases
DSKUs you create manually do not have any aliases. This means they are not linked to any of your active integrations, and future orders won't point this DSKU. To point future orders to this DSKU, you can either:
- Fix the core issue and resync the catalog. See next section.
- Create a manual order for this DSKU. Learn more.
Sync With Your Integration Later
If you find and fix the root cause why a SKU is not importing (or if you create the product within your listing tool or marketplace with the exact same SKU value) then simply return to sellerportal.flexport.com/inventory and hit Sync Catalog.
You should then see an alias on the inventory details page that signifies a link between this DSKU and this integration.
Estimate Fulfillment Fee (Optional)
You can also input the dimensions to estimate the fulfillment fee for this given SKU. Read more in our help article: Understanding the Cost Preview. Inputting accurate dimensions will lower the time between inbounding to Flexport and your products being available for fulfillment.
Go to sellerportal.flexport.com/inventory and open the product. Find the dimensions section and click Estimate to manually input dimensions.
