Creating a New Product
First, create the product or listing in the marketplace or listing tool account that is connected to Flexport. Next, go to portal.flexport.com/inventory and click Sync Catalog.
Notes: This process may take up to 4 hours, depending on the size of your catalog. This will import and sync your catalog across all of your active integrations.
Why Your Product, Listing, or SKU May Not Be in Flexport
We routinely check for new products and automatically import them. If you don't see your product after starting sync as described above, there may be an issue. Simply find the issue, fix it, and then hit Sync Catalog again. Some common reasons why your product may not appear in your Flexport catalog include:
Issues for All Integrations

Solution |
Your product/listing/SKU is in an inactive, delisted, or draft state. |
Activate the product/listing/SKU in the integration's web portal and then click Import Products in Flexport. Later, deactivate the listing in the web portal if desired. Alternately, create the product manually in Flexport first (with the same SKU value), inbound inventory, activate the listing at the integration side, and then Import Products in Flexport. |
Your product or listing does not have a title or a SKU value. |
Add a title or SKU value to your product in your integration’s web portal, and then click Import Products in Flexport. |
Your product’s SKU value has a special character, such as a + plus sign. |
Remove the special characters in the SKU field in your integration’s web portal, and then click Import Products in Flexport. Learn more. |
Your product or listing represents a virtual item (alias, kit, bundle, etc) and not a physical item. |
We cannot import virtual items into Flexport. |
Your product’s SKU value is the same as another product’s SKU value. This appears as multiple aliases for the same DSKU. |
If this is intended, then no changes are necessary. Learn more about Flexport aliases. If not intended, then create a new SKU (with a new SKU value) in the integration’s web portal and then click Import Products in Flexport. |
You made a change to an existing product, such as a title or the SKU value. |
We do not import changes to existing SKUs. Create a new SKU in the integration’s web portal and then click Import Products in Flexport. Contact support to change the name of a SKU in Flexport. |
