Mandatory Holidays
Within your Walmart Seller Center Account, you must set up the below holidays. Failure to set up these holidays will result in orders that miss shipping and delivery SLA.
Holiday | Date |
New Years Day | First day of the year |
Memorial Day | Last Monday in May |
Independence Day | July 4 |
Labor Day | First Monday in September |
Thanksgiving Day | Fourth Thursday in November |
Christmas Day | December 25 |
Suggested Holidays
The below holidays are recognized by most major carriers. It is suggested to also add these to your Walmart account, but not mandatory. If you set up these additional holidays, you will not ship on these dates, but you will continue to receive orders during this time. Fulfillment of orders made during this time will not begin until the day after the holiday ends.
In addition to the above mandatory holidays, USPS recognizes the following Federal Holidays:
Holiday | Date |
MLK Day | Third Monday in January |
Presidents' Day | Third Monday in February |
Indigenous Peoples' Day | Second Monday in October |
Veterans Day | November 11 |
How to set it up
Set up holidays under Additional Days Off on this page (or 'Settings,' then 'Shipping Info') in your Walmart Seller Center.
