Before you get started
Do not update inventory on the Manage Items page in your Walmart Seller Center account. Instead, create a feed (a CSV file that you upload to Walmart) that will update the inventory levels for your SKUs in Walmart.
To solve the out of stock problem, you will create three feeds to:
- Zero out the Seller node (merchant-fulfilled)
- Zero out the Partner node (Flexport-fulfilled)
- Correctly update the Partner node
For instructions on how to create and submit a feed, please see How Do I Send a Bulk Inventory Update for Walmart? To create the feeds needed to address the “out of stock” issue, please see the below requirements for each CSV file.
Note: These steps are for Walmart direct connections only, not Walmart integrations connected via a listing tool (like Pipe17, Sellbrite).
1. Zero out the Seller node
- In the spreadsheet template Walmart provides, enter 0 in the “New Quantity” column for all SKUs
- When you upload the file to your Walmart Seller Center account, select the Seller node
2. Zero out the Partner node
- In the spreadsheet template Walmart provides, enter 0 in the “New Quantity” column for all SKUs
- In Walmart Seller Center, when you upload the file, select MP_Deliverr (the Partner node)
3. Correctly update the Partner node
- In the spreadsheet template Walmart provides, find the “Available” quantity on the Inventory page of your Flexport Portal account. Then, enter it into the “New Quantity” column for all of your SKUs
- When you upload the file to your Walmart Seller Center account, select the Partner node
