When are long term storage fees assessed?
Long term storage fees for Reserve Storage apply once a pallet has been in a pickable location at our site for at least 1 year. Since our billing for recurring storage happens on the first of each month, some pallets may be at our site for slightly longer than 1 year without being charged long term storage fees.
For example, if a pallet was moved to a pickable location at our site on August 15, 2022, it would be charged long term storage fees if inventory is still on the pallet on September 1, 2023.
How is inventory picked at sites?
All our sites pick inventory on a first in first out (FIFO) basis in order to reduce aged inventory sitting on pallets and help you reduce your long term storage costs. The only exception to this is if your inventory is lot-tracked with an expiration date. In this case, our sites will pick inventory first expiration first out (FEFO).
How can I see details about my inventory age?
Please go to the reports section in Seller Portal and download the "Inventory Details - Reserve Storage" report. In this report, each unique value in the "Pallet ID (LPN)" field represents a unique pallet. The date that the pallet was first made pickable is in the "First Available At" column (Column S) and the age of the inventory in days is in the "Age (days)" column (Column R).
