Restock recommendations is currently available to only Reserve storage users. It simplifies your inventory restocking process by helping you plan for how much to send to reserve storage and when to send it. It takes into account your sales history, demand forecast and your inputs to help you determine how much inventory to send and when to send it. This would help you to reduce out of stock scenarios and inventory holding costs.

Getting recommendations
- An email will be sent with detailed information about what SKUs need to be replenished
- The email would have an attachment with recommended products and quantity
- You can download the report and created an inbound plan in Flexport portal with recommendations
Setting up your lead time
- Visit Settings->Inventory page on Flexport portal
- Edit the lead time box to tell us how long does it take for your inventory to reach Flexport from your warehouse or manufacturer
Note: Lead time = Supplier lead time + your lead time
Turn off recommendations
You can choose to opt out of recommendations that you receive
- Visit Settings->Inventory page on Flexport portal
- Toggle off "Recommend restock to reserve storage"
- Click on "Save Changes"

- Can I set minimum order quantities (MOQ) for my products?
No. We would recommend you to fine-tune the recommendations to account for minimum order quantites.
- Can I download these recommendations?
Yes. You would receive an attachment on email with recommendations.
- Why do recommended replenishment quantity and date keep changing?
Recommendations are dynamic and take into account real-time inventory position and latest demand forecast. Check back often to stay current!
- Do I need to send my shipments by the recommended date?
These dates are our best estimate of when to send in a shipment to help you avoid low stock or out-of-stock scenarios. However, it’s always your decision whether or not to follow the recommended ship date.
- Do I need to follow restock recommendations?
We encourage you to follow the recommended replenishment quantity to avoid out of stock or low stock situations. Our recommendations take into account future demand forecasts and the product-level information you provide. Please fine-tune your restock recommendations by adjusting product-level information, such as seller and supplier lead times, and replenishment frequency. However, it is always your decision whether or not to follow our replenishment recommendations.
