This article covers how to Import products through a spreadsheet when creating a shipping plan.
Import Products
Overview
When you create an inbound, the first screen will ask you to Select and add products. On this step, you need to add all the SKUs you are inbounding as a part of this shipping plan.
First, you must select Case-packed products or Individual products, depending on what you send in. You can only choose one of these options per inbound. See Case-Pack vs. Individual Product Packaging Guidelines for additional information on the differences.
Once you've selected your packing type, you can choose to search and add products or Import products. To import your products from a spreadsheet, click the Upload File button.
Filling the Template
After you click Upload File, you'll be prompted to download one of two .xlsx templates, depending on whether you are imported Case-packed products or Individual products. Here, you can click Download the template.
After you've finished filling the template, you will need to save it as either a .xlsx or .csv to upload. Depending on your spreadsheet editor, you may need to export the file to get it into the correct format. Some examples of how to do this are below.
If you are using Microsoft Excel, you can save the file and upload directly. You can also export this into a .csv file by going into File > Save As... and selecting CSV.
If you are using Numbers, you can go to File > Export To and select either Excel or CSV.
If you are using Google Sheets, you can go to File > Download and select either Microsoft Excel or Comma-separated values.
Case-Packed Products Template
In your template, you will see two tabs. The first tab, Case-Pack Upload Template, is the template you need to fill in.
The column definitions are in the table below and can also be found in the Instructions tab. In the Instructions tab, you will also find a template example.
