You can use Flexport Prep to ensure your units are compliant with FBA.
Overview
Prep services prepare shipments to meet Amazon's Fulfillment by Amazon (FBA) inbounding requirements. FBA unit prep services include inspection, Amazon-approved poly bagging, applying FNSKUs, and applying box and pallet labels correctly.
Flexport Prep will:
-
Inspect each unit
All units are inspected to ensure they are not damaged and are in sellable condition so your customers don't receive any damages. All damaged units will be sidelined and you will be contacted to see what your preferred next steps are. -
Place each unit inside an Amazon approved polybag
Every unit is bagged in a clear polybag. This will ensure your units stay clean and are protected. If your units are liquid or fragile, it is recommended to request additional Damage Protection to avoid damages downstream. -
Apply an FNSKU barcode to each unit
FNSKU barcode are printed and applied to each unit so that your units are compliant with Amazon requirements. -
Shipping related Prep
Depending on your preferred shipping method, all necessary Amazon box and pallet labels are applied, as well as any necessary shipping labels to ensure your products are compliant upon arrival at Amazon.

Requesting FBA Unit Prep
Replenishments
If you are transferring inventory from Reserve Storage, you will be able to select Unit and Shipping Prep during the transfer creation process. If you do not want Unit Prep, you can select Shipping Prep Only.
Prepare and forward direct to FBA
If you are inbounding directly to FBA, you will be able to select Unit and Shipping Prep in the final screen before you book your shipment.
Providing FNSKU information
In both cases when Unit Prep is requested, you will be prompted to add your FNSKUs if they are not already in the system. This ensures Flexport Prep knows which barcode to apply to each unit.
