Fulfillment Fees
Fee Type | Fee Explanation | Fee Reasoning | Fee Applied |
Fulfillment Fee (Basic) |
Flexport's all-inclusive fulfillment fee includes receiving, forwarding, picking, packing, and shipping costs for orders that we fulfill on your behalf. This fee is based on the SKU's weight, dimensions, the number of units in this order, and the service level. Multiple units in a single order qualify for a discount in the fulfillment fee. Different service levels and surcharges or discounts may apply based on the SKU. See the rows below for more details. |
This covers the cost of receiving, picking, packing, and shipping to your buyers. |
Per unit fulfilled. To preview the different fulfillment fees for a specific SKU, see the inventory list page in the Flexport Portal.
|
Worldwide International Shipping |
International orders have different service levels and thus higher fulfillment fees. |
This service level and fulfillment fee covers the longer distance that an order must travel. |
Per unit fulfilled. To preview the fulfillment fee for a specific SKU, open the inventory list page in Deliverr Flexport Portal. If the SKU has not been imported from the channel, manually create the product and input dimensions. |
Batteries and Hazardous Materials |
Flexport SKUs that contain batteries or hazardous materials have an additional surcharge on top of the normal fulfillment fee. Read Inbounding Battery Products for more details. |
This fee covers the additional cost of packaging, labeling, and risk associated with shipping hazardous materials. |
$0.11 surcharge per unit fulfilled. To preview the different fulfillment fees for a specific SKU, see the inventory list page in Flexport Portal. |
Fragile Protection and Ready to Ship |
SKUs that are designated as Fragile Protection shipping will have an additional surcharge. For SKUs that are designated Ready to Ship in own container (SIOC), we offer a discount. SKUs that are left as Flexport Recommended do not have a surcharge or discount. Some limitations for ready-to-ship may apply. Read more in Packaging Selection: Fragile Protection & Ready to Ship. |
Forcing certain products to ship in boxes requires extra materials in our fulfillment centers and incremental shipping costs. Ready to ship SKUs do not require additional labor or materials at the packaging step, so we can pass the savings on to merchants. |
Per unit fulfilled. To preview the fulfillment fee for a specific SKU, open the inventory details page in Flexport Portal for a specific SKU. Under Fulfillment Fees, change the packaging selection to Fragile Protection or Ready to Ship. Oversized - Larger items that do not comply with SIOC requirements for oversize items may be subject to fulfillment surcharges Oversized SKUs designated as Ready to Ship do not qualify for multi-unit discounts or SIOC discounts. However, oversized SKUs still count toward the overall quantity of items in the order e.g. if there is one oversized SIOC SKU and one standard sized SKU in an order, the order is treated as multi-unit and the standard size SKU gets the multi-unit fulfillment rate. The fulfillment rate for the oversized SIOC SKU in this scenario would be the same as the single unit fulfillment rate.
