The cost preview (i.e., fulfillment fee) is shown for all items in your inventory catalog. Each item's cost preview is based on item attributes (e.g., dimensions, weight) and assumes shipping 1 unit at the selected service level (e.g., Walmart Fast Tag). The cost preview includes all fees associated with receiving, picking, packing, and shipping the item.
Please note:
- Cost previews do not include storage fees.
- An item's dimensions and weights include the packaging used to prep the item. For example, if an item is 10" long but you wrap it in bubble wrap so that the total length is 12", then the item will have a correct length of 12".
- Cost previews are initially based on data pulled from your listing tool, data scraped from the internet, or data input by you in the Flexport Inventory page. Once your item is received at a Flexport fulfillment center, it may have its dimensions and weight measured. If that information differs and changes your cost preview, you will be notified via email.
