- You have the ability to split your inventory with Walmart Fulfillment Services (WFS); however, the inventory in WFS will be prioritized, and the your Partner inventory will only be used when WFS inventory is out of stock.
- In general, it is best practice to leave special characters out of your SKU values, except for dashes (-). If your SKUs include special characters, here’s how to fix them.
Any inbound inventory being processed at WFS will be prioritized over active partner inventory.
Note: You can have active inventory with us, but once you've committed to sending units to WFS, your listing will not be live due to actively inbounding WFS inventory.
You cannot create a duplicate listing for the same SKU to have two live listings (e.g., one with WFS and one with "Partner". If you choose to split units of a SKU between WFS and Partners, WFS inventory will always be prioritized over your Seller Fulfilled and Partner Fulfilled inventory. Once your WFS inventory is out of stock, the Walmart listing automatically switches to Seller Fulfilled or Partner, depending on which location has higher inventory until you create a new inbound to WFS, which will then once again be prioritized over both Seller and Partner fulfilled inventory.
Note: You cannot create a "duplicate" item using a different SKU and UPC combination. Walmart has stated that they require GS1 certified product IDs (UPC/GTIN/EAN) on all items created on their platform. They have advised that if a merchant uses a non-certified product ID, their item is at risk of being removed from their website.
