New Inventory Reports in Seller Portal
We’ve made significant improvements to our inventory tracking systems. The new systems are designed to be more accurate and capture greater detail than ever for your inventory in the Flexport network. As part of this improvement, you will now see the following new reports on the Reports page:
- Inventory - Monthly Reconciliation Report: Provides start- and end-of-month total balances for all in-Network products (DTC & RS) for monthly accounting reconciliation. It also provides high-level reasons for the monthly quantity change.
- Inventory Levels Report - RS & DTC (Coming soon)
- Inventory Detail Report - LOT & FEFO (all products) (Coming soon)
- Inventory Detail Report - LOT & FEFO (Single product)(Coming soon)
- Inventory Detail Report - Reserve Storage (Coming soon)
Note: These reports are currently available to select merchants. To request access, please contact the Support team.
Key differences in inventory totals compared to existing reports:
- Unlike existing reports & Inventory detail pages on the portal, units allocated to in-progress orders are not excluded from DTC Fulfillment or Reserve Storage numbers in the new reports. The totals include units for processing orders and pending shipments.
- The totals include units in unavailable states (e.g., expired, damaged, quarantined, etc).
In summary, the new reports show units physically available in the network and as a result, the totals could vary compared to existing reports and the portal pages.
Key Additions/Changes:
- Less fluctuations in Inventory Levels: Fluctuations are primarily caused by inventory moved to unavailable states. The new reports now reflect the total units in the network, resulting in minimal fluctuations.
- More granularity with clear explanations
- Consistent SKU balances across the new reports
