After you book a shipment, Flexport will handle all the communication with your supplier with the information that we collected during the onboarding process. We will be contacting the supplier once we have the initial cargo schedule set so that we can coordinate pick up of the goods.
*Please note, that for ocean shipments, a booking will need to be placed with the carrier, which could take up to 14 days for ocean shipments.
Once the goods are secured, the Flexport Portal will be updated with the key dates and its expected arrival to its destination. As the goods are approaching the destination country, our team may be in contact in order to resolve questions regarding customs clearance, or any other major shipment updates, and exceptions. Once the goods are delivered, you will see the portal update accordingly.
