Palletized LTL (Max height 60”) | RS_INBOUND_PALLETIZED_FEE |
This is the cost to unload, sort, segregate and put away the inventory in your palletized inbound. We will break inventory to assure every pallet has one unique SKU and is 60" or under. You will be charged by each pallet that is built and/or put away at time of inbound. Where necessary you will be charged an additional supplied pallet fee for the number of new pallets that are built. |
$13 per pallet |
Supplied pallet | RS_GRADE_B_PALLET_FEE | This is the cost for supplying a new 40x48 pallet from within the warehouse to hold your inventory. We will only supply pallets if the inventory is unpalletized or there is insufficient pallets for putaway. | $16 per pallet |
Storage fees
Fee | Invoice charge name | Description | Cost |
Month 1 | RS_RECEIPT_STORAGE_FEE | This is the cost to store your pallet for its first month in the facility. | $14 per pallet |
Months 2–12 | RS_STORAGE_FEE | This is the cost to store your pallet each month from month two to month 12 of its life in the facility. | $25 per pallet per month |
Months 13+ | RS_LTS_STORAGE_FEE | This is the cost to store your pallet each month after its twelfth month in our facility. | $60 per pallet per month |
*Products may be palletized (either single or multiple skus on each pallet), however upon receiving Flexport reserves the right to operationally palletize multi-sku pallets for safety and picking efficiencies which may lead to additional storage charges. Pallets received with multiple products on them will be separated into single sku pallets (Eg: if you had 4 different skus on a pallet, we would segregate and store them in 4 pallets). Merchants will be billed storage for the pallets that are built during receiving and not for the quantity of pallets that were originally sent.

When selecting Flexport Freight or Parcel services for your transportation needs you will see the applicable charges in your seller portal invoice. They will appear as one of the following:

FAQs
How is my Reserve Storage - Monthly recurring storage charge calculated?
Your first month of storage for a pallet is charged when the inbound process finalizes and is posted at the same time as your inbound handling charge. For example if you inbound a 40 ft floor loaded container with 27 pallets worth of inventory on Jan 5th, you will be charged $650 for unloading to putaway, $16 per supplied pallet and $14 for each pallet for its first month of storage.
For your second to twelfth month you will be charged a $25 fee per pallet based on an end of month snapshot from the beginning of the previous period. Using the same example of the 40 ft container, we would only begin to charge a $25 per month fee for those 27 inbound pallets that arrived on Jan 5 in the March 1st posted charges.
The March invoice will use a pallet count snapshot from Jan 31 to determine the amount to charge.
Will I be charged both a carton and pallet handling fee if an LTL shipment requires a mixed SKU pallet built?
No, if we pick cartons to build an outbound pallet you will only be charged carton handling fees. If we pick a pallet then you will only be charged a pallet handling fee. If your shipment requires a combination of pallet picks and some carton picks you may see a combination of handling charges in the shipment level details on the CSV invoice.
If my pallet was in storage for only one day of the month do I still have to pay for the full month?
Yes, we don’t currently offer a day rate for pallet storage and can only bill monthly. We understand this can be frustrating and offer the following advice. Since we bill based on a snapshot of your occupied pallet positions on the last day of every month you can optimize your storage costs accordingly by depleting unnecessary reserves before this calendar day occurs.
